Overview
A nutrition label shows values per serving, but many people eat more or less than one serving. This tool converts label values into the amount actually eaten and the whole package, with approximate daily values.
Formula
Multiply each nutrient value by the servings eaten, then compare with daily references. For the package, multiply by total servings per container.
How it works
Read the serving size
Check whether the label shows values per serving or per 100 g.
Enter what you ate
Use actual servings, not just the number of pieces.
Review the totals
Calories and nutrients appear for the amount eaten and the package.
Worked examples
4 servings per package, ate 2
If a serving is 150 kcal, you ate 300 kcal and the package has 600 kcal.
A 30 g serving
Calories per 100 g = serving calories ÷ 30 × 100.
Frequently asked questions
Is the serving size how much I should eat?
No. It is a label reference amount, not a personal recommendation.
Why do daily values differ?
They rely on a 2,000 kcal reference and vary between regulators and countries.
Is added sugar shown?
Some labels show it and some do not. This tool does not separate added from natural sugar.
Is the label enough to choose healthy food?
No. You also need fat type, fiber, whole ingredients and dietary context.
